Contributing to healthcare quality and efficiency, we enable "yasashii" medicine for everyone touched by healthcare
Hiển thị kết quả xổ số miền bắcThe Hospital Systems Division provides medical devices and pharmaceuticals that are used in a variety of medical settings, including ICUs, general wards, operating rooms, and patients' homes; along with training programs for medical professionals who use the products.
Hiển thị kết quả xổ số miền bắcPopulations are aging, and that means more people require medical care. It is also becoming more expensive to treat increasingly diverse illnesses and chronic conditions in older populations. Meanwhile, staffing shortages have become a serious problem for medical institutions. In addition, with the global spread of COVID-19, awareness of the infection prevention is rising. Providing sustainable medical care under these circumstances requires greater quality and efficiency.
We contributed to this situation early on by not only supplying products, but also providing training programs to help medical professionals address problems including hospital-acquired infections and medical accidents. We continue to strengthen our lineup with products and services that contribute to healthcare safety, operational efficiency, and early hospital discharges; this is what we call "yasashii" medical care.
The work of administering drugs to patients by infusion, injection, or other means happens daily in all kinds of medical settings, from ICUs to general hospital wards. Usually, a safe drug administration requires confirmation of several things during preparation and just before administration: The right patient, right drug, right volume, right method, right time, and right purpose. Care is also required for the safety of medical professionals, including management of the risk of coming into contact with drugs that affect the human body.
Terumo has pursued and incorporated into its drug administration product systems functionality and design that reduces a variety of associated risks. As drug administration management for patients has become more complex and exact in recent years, Terumo has promoted "Digital Health:" Advanced Infusion Systems equipped with drug libraries; and infusion and syringe pumps with connectivity to hospital IT systems, automated record monitoring, and prescription coordination. We will continue our efforts to standardize and make prescriptions and administration more efficient, and improve treatment safety.

Hiển thị kết quả xổ số miền bắcPatient vital signs—body temperature, blood pressure, blood glucose, blood oxygen concentration, and others—are measured daily in medical settings to guide diagnosis and treatment. In hospital wards with many patients, nurses go to patient bedsides to take vital signs, then return to nurse stations to transcribe and record the measured values.
Terumo has created a measurement device series equipped with near-field communications (NFC) functionality, including blood glucose self-monitor, blood pressure monitor, and thermometer; in which an NFC reader/writer records measurements in a patient's electronic medical record with just one touch by the medical professional. The system not only eliminates data entry and transcription errors, but also enables instant sharing of vital sign information among hospital staff, leading to timely and accurate management. This efficiency frees up medical professionals to give more meaningful care to patients, improving the quality of healthcare.

As Japan's aging society increases demand on healthcare and nursing care, limited healthcare resources must be utilized effectively and efficiently to make healthcare sustainable. Medical institutions are responding by separating and coordinating between hospital wards to give healthcare that matches each patient's condition, whether acute, recovery, or chronic. Acute hospitals treating patients with serious cases focus resources on advanced care; they therefore require efficiency and shorter hospital stays.
Hiển thị kết quả xổ số miền bắcTerumo contributes to this end through post-operative pain relief medicine that enables earlier discharge, in addition to highly concentrated nutrition products that support speedy patient recovery. In addition, Terumo provides a post-operative anti-adhesion spray, which is the first product of its kind in Japan. It helps to prevent complications from organs and tissues that can adhere undesirably during the healing process. Our complete product lineup contributes to early hospital discharges and improved patient QOL.

There are two types of diabetes: Type I, in which a patient's body has difficulty producing insulin; and Type II diabetes, which often occurs as a result of lifestyle. It is vital to society that diabetes is discovered early and its complications are prevented. Diabetic patient ages range widely, from small children to aged persons. Many measure and manage their own blood glucose daily, and some also perform their own injections to regulate their blood glucose levels.
Terumo has long worked to develop and provide easy-to-use blood glucose self-monitors, and the world's thinnest and shortest needles, to reduce patient pain and fear of injections. In recent years, Terumo has also brought to market tube-free insulin pumps that enable freer patient movement, and continuous glucose monitoring systems that allow constant monitoring and management. This full product lineup provides diabetes patients with total daily support and contributes to better quality of life.

Patients with chronic kidney failure need dialysis treatment that removes unwanted waste products and liquid from the body. Dialysis treatment options include hemodialysis (HD), in which a patient goes to a hospital three or so times a week, and peritoneal dialysis, in which a patient can receive treatment at home or at work.
Hiển thị kết quả xổ số miền bắcTerumo promotes peritoneal dialysis, which allows more freedom of lifestyle for patients. In addition to making peritoneal dialysis simpler and safer for the increasing number of aged diabetes patients through instruments with greater ease of use and infection-prevention measures, we are also developing dialysis aimed at reducing a patient's physical burden, toward healthcare that is more patient-friendly—what we call "yasashii" healthcare.
What is Peritoneal Dialysis (PD)?
PD is a treatment method in which waste products and liquids are removed from the blood by injecting and retaining dialysis fluid inside the abdominal cavity and the peritoneal membranes that surround the organs located there. The treatment requires a catheter to be implanted in the abdomen to enable injection and removal of dialysis fluid, and thereafter dialysis fluid is exchanged multiple times (once in 4-12hours) daily.
Discharge of waste products and liquid
CAPD*1, which enables the patient to exchange their own dialysis fluid, and
APD*2, an instrument which automatically exchanges dialysis fluid.
The method most suitable to the patient is selected according to their condition and lifestyle.
